Kalrav ki madhur aawaz sunai dena shuru ho gayi thi. Kitni paas aa gaya tha Kalrav! Bas kuch din aur, aur phir wahin hasna, gaana aur din bhar masti karna :). Jaante jo, kalrav ka matlab kya hota hai? Jab bahut saare panchiyon ka samooh ek saath chehchahata haim use kehte hai kalrav. Us chehchahahat me jo meeta ehsaas hota hai, wahin kalrav kehlata hai. Shayad yahin dhayaan me rakhkar hamare college ke cultural festival ka haam "Kalrav" rakha gaya hoga. Sahi to hai, yeh Kalrav bhi kitna sukhad ehsaas de jaata hai.
Mere adhiktar mitr, jo ki us saal kalrav me participation karne ki jagah hindi sahitya ki events organize karwa rahe the. Aur isiliye, us official group ka member na hote hue bhi mein aur Goel unki help kar rahe the. Kisi bhi event ka sabse bada kaam hota hai uski publicity yani marketing, Jitni achchi matketing hoti hai utna hi achcha product bikta hai :) Aur is marketting me sabse jyada kaam karna hota hai adhikari logo ke doston ko yaahi ki mein aur Goel.
Marketing ke liye poster chipkaane ho ya kisi class-room me jaakar juniors ko batana ho, hum hamesha saath me rehte the. (Though Goel used to get some time off for some PERSONAL COMMITMENTS :P). Unhi dino ki baat hai, ki Chhabra ji ke dimaag me ek abhootpoorva (out of the box) vichaar aaya, aur vo shuru ho gaye apni 3rd class ki crafting skill ko lekar.
(Sorry, but I am very short of thought in Hindi anymore)
We got a large thermocol board, pasted a large drawing sheet over it and cut it in a shape of a large PEEPAL leaf. Then our painter boy (Verma) came in and gave life to that leaf using his painting skills. That leaf was named as "ASTADHYAYI", the name of Hindi-lit committee. It was very late in the night by then and we all have loads of work next morning and also the paint needed to dry. So we left the astadhyayi leaf in Chhabra's room and went to our beds.
Next morning, I heard some strange voices from Chhabra's room. The voice seemed to be of some new born babies mixed with the vocals of Goel and Chhabra. I and Gaurav rushed to Chhabra's room and saw that eight small peepal leaves were there around the astadhyayi leaf. And all of them were already given their names. In one corner, Chhabra was blushing and in another, Goel looked puzzled.
Though all those eight small PATTA-PUTRA served the purpose of our marketing strategy but it's still a mystery that what was done that night in Chhabra's room :P
:-) have already forgotten many things about the college (after my IMT experience) but still that will always be in my mind ...
Btw...Chhabra...is it the night when i had helped u to be awake whole night???
Goel, you helped Chhabr a to be awake whole night...
yeh kya chakkar hai :D
Those who are reading this post and do not know the meaning of ASHTADHYAAYI.......This is the famous book by "PANINI" ,on sanskrit grammer and literature and this is divided into eight chapters.....& we took this name for our events because we had 8 events under our agenda....
Nice effort Nattu, to start the story in typical tarram-too style.....:-)
& kudos to chhabra for that great effort.....
Hahaha... nice compilation of those sweet moments... Hare patton ki yaadein hari ho gayin :)
Btw, correction at one point - Bade wale peepal ke patte ko paint Verma ne nahi Animikh ne kiya tha...yaadein feeki pad jaayengi, lekin Asian Paints ke rang nahi... :)
(Verma was probably busy in shahadat-e-murg on that night :)
@Abhinav : Yes, you got it correct... us raat tumne mujhe khub saari instructions di thi...
Waise there were many such nights jab hum dono mere room me late tak jaagte the... but Akash could capture only one as none of other nights left any symbol behind :P
And once again saadhuwad to Akash specially to spell "Kalrav" this way! :)
:)
I want to relate it with chirping of birds so I used KALRAV in place of CULRAV. and now I think that initially it has been thought as hindi KALRAV so CULRAV is a nothing but a distorted form of KALRAV to show that we are no less than PHIRANGS.
amazing...
i just forgot those things.. thanx 4 reminding me all those memories...
but one thing i want to say... Chhabra's commitment is unique n uncomparable...i can't imagine...chhabra did those things throughout the nite (as usual i had to sleep)n goel...he has always been a hard worker who can work throughout the nite and that too for many nites (remember CT)
Hehe... Chhotu, I'm still waiting for your Chhabra Puraan to get completed... :)
